I LOVE YOU BOLLYWOIOD MOVIE REVIEW - Bollywood Best romantic movie in 2023

Released Date : June 16, 2023

Avg. User's Rating : 4.0/5

Story: Satya Prabhakar, a corporate woman and her fiance, Vishal, are ready to start a new chapter in their lives. But fate had other plans, and Satya found himself alone and trapped in the confines of his workplace. The danger that awaits him keeps the audience engaged with what is happening to him.

Review: Writer-director Nikhil Mahajan, who has directed many Marathi films earlier, makes his Hindi film debut with a 94-minute thriller that takes inspiration from similar 90s movies like 'Dar' and 'Anjam'. While 'Tu Mile Dil Khile' and 'Ruth Na Jana Tumse Kahun To', among others, strongly convey the nostalgic aura of the era, the film falls short of providing a truly spine-chilling experience compared to films of the same genre. Although predictable, the story benefits from strong performances that leave an impression.

The narrative wastes no time in establishing its characters, primarily centered around Satya (Rakul Preet Singh), an independent and powerful corporate woman, who was recently proposed to by her boyfriend and colleague, Vishal (Akshay Oberoi). The couple wants to leave the city for their Diwali vacation, but as departure time nears, Satya is unable to contact Vishal or his driver, who was scheduled to take her to the airport. When he tries to get out of the office building by himself, he realizes that he is trapped within its walls, with no one else around.

Satya, out of options and in panic, calls his close friend and colleague, Rishabh Oberoi aka RO (Pavel Gulati), who works in the technical department of the same office. When RO arrives to help him, things take a turn for the worse when they uncover a dead body—and more as the night wears on. Satya's life is irrevocably changed as she struggles to survive this tragic night that has the potential to change everything.

Pavel Gulati gives a strong performance as RO, convincingly conveying the shadowy shadows of his character. He keeps the audience on the edge of their seats, and his performance during the song 'Jumma Chumma De De' is simply superb. Rakul Preet Singh delves into her survival instincts and leaves no stone unturned to navigate moments of panic and doubt with alacrity. Incredible performances by both Gulati and Singh keep the audience glued to the screen. Akshay Oberoi makes his presence felt in his limited role.

Overall, 'I Love You' delivers a story that is easily predictable right from the start. But its fast-paced screenplay and impressive performances make it worth your time.
