Story: A wedding planner, who is staunchly against marriage, finds himself a soupcon when a fiery young woman tempts him out of an arranged marriage.
Review: A small town, an independent and brash girl and a family full of quirky characters. 'Jogira Sara Ra Ra' has all the ingredients to make situational comedy out of everyday life. And it all starts when Jogi (Nawazuddin Siddiqui)- a street smart marriage planner meets a feisty and polite Dimple (Neha Sharma). He has just gate-crashed a wedding party hosted by Yogi and a few pegs later, he takes the mic to give a highly critical yet honest review of the wedding's pathetic catering. Sure, it ends in a big song and dance, but unlike a regular Bollywood film, there's no love at first sight here. In fact, director Kushan Nandy and writer Ghalib Asad Bhopali ensure that there is nothing conventional about the lead pair, as they are both flawed but real characters. They use this to create conflict, confusion and chaos which works really well throughout the first half. Add to that Jogi's eccentric and outspoken family for whom nothing he does or gets is good enough. From his mother (Zarina Wahab) to his younger sisters - they're all a bunch of ungrateful pricks but you can tell there's an underlying thread of love that essentially binds them together as a family. Their love-hate equation makes for an entertaining watch. Dimple's family is a little less dramatic except for her father, who hasn't let age dull his wit or charm to offer unsolicited advice or butt into the bare minimum. All this makes for good comedic moments and organic humor. But as the second half rolls on, the screenplay becomes a bit repetitive and unnecessarily complicated. The makers seem to have run out of new ideas before the predictable climax.

Nawazuddin is good as always but we are so used to seeing him in strong and completely outsider roles that it takes a bit of getting used to seeing him play a regular guy. Neha Sharma looks beautiful and plays her role with confidence. Although, some more depth to the way his character is written would help. Mahakshay Chakraborty is a surprise package, from an indomitable groom to Lallu, who is a complete pushover.
There is no dearth of talented character artists. Sanjay Mishra tries his best to play a small and insignificant role. Zarina Wahab and the rest of the women are a spoof as strong-willed women in a deeply patriarchal family. A small town setting explored in many films no longer seems novel but is still endearing to watch. Although there are all kinds of clichés, there is an inherent goodness in the simplicity and innocence of these characters. The film's soundtrack is easily forgettable.

Overall, 'Jogira Sara Ra Ra' does not give great novelty to the audience but manages to entertain you with several moments of absurd fun.
