Web Movie Synopsis: Abi and her friends get trapped in an abandoned bungalow, where they encounter the torment of a crippled psychopath. Can they get out of this mess?
Web Movie Review: Aaron's film Web, right from the start, tries to deliver a spine-chilling psycho-thriller experience but unfortunately fails to achieve it. The poorly written plot fails to immerse the audience in a world of suspense, leaving them confused and disconnected for nearly an hour, as they try to decipher the unfolding events and the killer's identity.
The film begins with the introduction of Abir (Shilpa Manjunath), a software engineer who leads a double life as a party enthusiast, often indulging in drugs and alcohol with his two friends. Their troubled existence takes a terrifying turn when they find themselves trapped inside an abandoned bungalow, facing the wrath of a physically challenged man named Veera (Naty).
For days, they endure beatings, imprisonment, and even witness the murder of one of their friends. As the story unfolds, the mystery behind Veera's motive for kidnapping the girls becomes the central focus. The movie delves into the intense struggle for survival as the girls desperately try to escape this harrowing ordeal. Will they find a way out of this nightmare situation?
The plot revolves around the exciting and turbulent journey as they fight for their lives and seek answers to Veer's twisted actions.
Webb sets out with decent intentions, trying to provide answers to the film's conclusion. However, this attempt fails, as the movie sticks to conventional thriller tropes, resulting in poorly executed scenes and forced moments. Also, the film struggles to establish a real emotional connection with the central characters, leaving the audience detached from their plight. The narrative follows a pattern where the audience is led to believe one version of events, only to be subjected to a rather absurd twist at the end.

As the story progresses, the writing enters preachy territory, hampering the overall viewing experience. Plot sequences seem disjointed, making it challenging for viewers to fully invest in the unfolding events. Shilpa Manjunath has done justice to the character and has acted brilliantly in most of the sequences. He plays the role of a drug addict who is brave yet emotional. Natty and other actors also gave their best. However, flashback sequences in the second half and a forced comedy sequence by Mota Rajendran even slows down the film. The duration of the film is less than two hours but it gets restless after a certain point.
Despite the film's attempts to provide answers, the film's poor execution, lack of empathy for the characters and clumsy writing prevent it from making a lasting impact.
